Erik Friis Reitan

Erik Friis Reitan is an artist living in Bergen, Norway. He makes photography-based immersive installations around topics of perception, existence, materiality and the unknown. He holds a BA from the University for Creative Arts, Rochester (UK), an MA from Trondheim academy for fine art (NO) and a Ph.d. from Bergen Academy for Contemporary Art/University of Bergen. Notable projects include the installation 60.220966°N, 4.994361°E at the Kochi-Muziris Biennale (IN) and the exhibition series Teleportation #1, #2 and #3, the latter shown at KODE Bergen Art Museum (NO). He is also active in artist politics and debate, and serves on the board of the Norwegian Visual Artists Organization (Norske Billedkunstnere, NBK) and the Norwegian Sculptors Society (Norsk Billedhoggerforening, NBF).
