Lene Vollhardt (USA, GER) is an experimental filmmaker, performer and writer, often working in alliance with people who perform in her work who mostly are laymen and from a variety of backgrounds (philosophers, therapists etc).

Her films and installations often coalesce genres like alternate history, dystopia, science fantasy, singularity and integrate elements of guided mediation, or documentary.

Her work has received international Awards such as Hong Kong Arthouse Filmprize, the Danish Fokus Film Award, the Scholarship of Art Foundation Baden-Wuerttemberg and the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes.
